LSES Monthly Meeting-Monday, January 5, 2009
RECAP
 

LSES held its January meeting, this past Monday from 7pm-8pm at the Highland Road Park Observatory.  We had not only members of LSES come out, but people interested in solar that heard about it through BREC's newsletter and The Observatory's website!  We enjoyed meeting new people that were interested in solar.

We started off the night with a short presentation about the sun and how it produces energy, from Christopher, HRPO's manager.  After that we presented LSES to the group that didn't know what the organization was about and followed that with a brief over view of our goals for 2009. 

We ended the night with a group discussion about solar, from tax credits to the basics of solar.  Everyone was very interested in the way solar works and wanted to learn more about it!

If you weren't able to make it we will have another one on Monday, February 2, 2009 from 6:30 till 8pm at our usual place, The Great Wall Restaurant.
