The Louisiana Solar
Energy Society is an
educational organization formed to promote the
use of solar energy and to share information
on the subject between its members and the
public.
New Orleans will be holdings its Earth
Day Festival this year on Sunday, April 5, presented by the Louisiana Bucket
Brigade on the banks of Bayou St. John. There will be vendors of all sorts
out at this festival promoting sustainable and healthy living, weatherization,
gardening, wetlands, oil pollution, energy conservation, and much more.
There will also be a solar powered stage that will feature local bands!
The festival will start off with a bike ride at 8am
through the city viewing pollution hotspots and solar powered homes, then back
to Bayou St. John for food, drinks, and fun environmental learning till 6pm!
