This past Wednesday was Earth Day, April 22 and the Louisiana State University and ECO had their Earth Day!  LSES was there promoting solar along with a handy solar trailer to power part of the stage thanks to Gulf South Solar, where local Baton Rouge and New Orleans bands performed. 

It was a great day for solar filled with activities of all kinds!  Also at the event was the Sierra Club, the Recycling Foundation, Nicole Harmon and The Green Building store, and many other eco-friendly groups!

We were able to spread the word about solar energy and to get more people involved with LSES through the solar tour, solar bills and much more!  We want to thank everyone that came by our tent, and all our volunteers that helped us promote solar!
